Name: Great U-16 Final

Breslin Cup final in Toome between St Endas and Glenavy was a great advert gor Gaelic Football. Either team could have won the game. The Glenavy lads deserve great credit fot the way they came back in extra time to win the game. It was great to see the supporters (large crowd for an underage game) from both sideseally get behind their teams. A great day for the GAA in the South West.

I was a neutral at last nights Breslin Cup final in Toome between St Endas and Glenavy. The game went to extra time and I have to say this match had everything any GAA suporter wanted in a match. As exciting a game as I have ever seen. A credit to both clubs and may I say a credit to the referee. Like the players & mentors HE made some mistakes but I thought he let the game flow as much as possible without being over involved. Thakyou to all for my £2.00 well spent

Here's a good website for club members that also have they’re own business http://www.gaatraders.com/. It would be good to see more club members from our county on it so that we can help support their businesses.

can you enlighten both myself and your referees as to the rules that are to be used in under 12 f'ball cup games is it one touch go game style football or is it full rules? there seems to be a lot of confusion around and games are being won and lost by clubs playing different rules and the referees being of no help as most of them have no idea of the rules

Reply: the only different rule that was given was the use of 2 touch.

i am abit confused as to why the match between ballymena and lisburn on sunday is in ahoghill? would it not be more suited to be played in glenavy or aldergrove?

Reply: It is on before the two championship matches to attract a larger crowd and raise the profile for the players.

In reply to a previous poster re the date for the semi finals, a Sunday may allow a few more spectators to watch the match. However, this could be balanced out by the fact that U16 matches are almost always fixed for Thursday nights, and so some people may have already made different plans for Sunday. When you factor in the county blitz on Saturday (which was the reason the Breslin Cup final was called off beforehand), and the fact there is an All Ireland Semi Final on Sunday, some may find it slightly ludicrous at the very least to re schedule these games for Sunday night.

I was actually told that creggan had a better head to head over both cargin and lisburn so i assumed that was the best method and just to inform you i have no association with any of the clubs, im just an interested spectator,
also where will the ballycastle v creggan and lisburn v cargin matches take place?
